Salud

In high spirits following the introduction of a new module Spanish Food and Drinks, our Year 8 made their own non-alcoholic Sangría, which they thoroughly enjoyed drinking.  We all said "Salud", and toasted the end of their exam week.  They enjoyed their taste of Spain so much that we have attached the recipe for you to try at home.  (Our tasters have recommended that you might like to almost double the quantity of orange juice.)

Children's Sangría
1/2 cup grapefruit / zumo de uvas
1/4 cup orange juice / zumo de naranja
1/4 to 1/2 cup Sprite or 7UP / limonada
Add to your drink orange slices and other fruits for decoration.
Mix the drink, add ice cubes and serve.
Enjoy!
