Success for Handcross Park School Riding Squad

Wednesday 18th January 2012

On Saturday 14th January members of the Handcross Park School Riding Squad represented the school at the National Schools Equestrian Association inter school show jumping event of the year.

The competition was hosted by Farlington School, at Sands Farm Equestrian Centre near Horsham.

Our team comprised Lizzie Rydon (Sargeant Pepper), Liberty MacFie (Jack) and Jodie Rogers (Millie). Class one was well supported with teams representing Farlington, Pennthorpe, Burgess Hill ,Cranleigh, Croydon High and Hall Grove schools.

All three of our riders and their ponies produced faultless rounds, with fast times in the jump-off phase of the competition. No other team ended on a clean sheet which resulted in Handcross Park School being declared the winning team. Jodie produced an exceptionally fast time to be awarded 2nd place in the individual competition.

Congratulations to our team and their ponies for producing such a splendid result!
